NeaNMS mobile apps now available!

Did you ever want to monitor your network status directly from your smart phone? Did you ever think you could have an overview of your network map right there in your pocket?

With the new NeaNMS mobile apps you can do all of that and more!

Available for iPhone-iPad and Android, soon enough also for BlackBerry devices, the NeaNMS app can let you see your ongoing errors, threshold notifications and full network geomap just a couple of touches away on your smartphone. Download the application, insert your NeaNMS installation data such as URL, username and password and you will see all your network data, real-time updated, anytime you want and anywhere you are!

NeaNMS 2.4 Released!

The solid architecture of NeaNMS is now ready to integrate in complex systems and, thanks to the availability of the whole database in JSON standard format, any external application can now access NeaNMS database objects through web services.

Besides, full multitenancy support has been added for partitioning NeaNMS database for usage in SaaS environments.

NeaNMS was yet improved, reaching now version 2.4, with several bugfixes and the following new features:

  • full multitenancy for each database object (IPs, networks, types, categories, etc)
  • database objects available in JSON format
  • RADIUS daemons now can handle potentially unlimited contemporary requests

Zoom in your network performance

Performance charts are now improved with zoom in and out features.

With the release of NeaNMS 2.3, besides the last day, week, month and year charts, now users can choose their performance display interval by drawing the interesting area with the mouse directly over the chart: in less than a second the new chart will be drawn by NeaNMS GUI and network administrator can drill down until the moment of the outage!

No more annoying peaks will make your charts unreadbale!

GoogleMaps and NeaNMS

With the release of NeaNMS 2.2 and GoogleMaps integration the devices can be now placed geographically on the map, links and devices status will be displayed according to notifications colors and alarms severity. Besides few other minor bugfixes, more new great features were added, such as:

  • dedicated expanded tree map page with quick links to elements subsections (assets, pollings, graphs, etc)
  • dedicated global history page in network summary section
  • external tool for detecting NOC's network failure
  • custom pollers implementation made easy (just placing the perl module in the specific folder)

NeaNMS 2.1 released!

NeaNMS was improved again and reaches version 2.1. The second version of the powerful network management suite was updated with several bugfixes and provided with new features such as:

  • new home page with summaries of the whole network and subscribers status
  • scratch cards management for dynamic subscribers credentials generation (linked to specified group, profile and tariff)
  • main NeaNMS parameters now configurable via web console
  • full multi-language support with preloaded English and Italian languages

The second version of NeaNMS comes to life

NeaNMS completely reviewed now reaches its second version.

Thanks to the success of NeaNMS software suite within the project of the Province of Bergamo, Neagen has now released NeaNMS version 2.0 to face the enterprise and carrier market, which was completely reviewed both on scalability and usability sides, being provided with a complete new GUI.

The new software is now fully integrated for the network inventory, monitoring and alerting, beside of the configurations and subscribers management and accounting.

NeaNMS for the Province of Bergamo

NeaNMS was adopted by Alcatel-Lucent for the management of the public broadband wireless network in the Province of Bergamo.

The Italian province of Bergamo was strongly affected by the digital divide phenomenon due to its fragmentation and area orography, thus the local government decided to intervene by funding the speedy deployment of an access network aiming at the its self-sustainability on the long run.

NeaNMS manages the NOC of the largest wireless network in Europe

The Autonomous Province of Trento has chosen NeaNMS as network management software for their NOC (Network Operation Center), managing WiNET wireless network which is considered the largest one in Europe.

Starting the end of 2008, across all the Province of Trento it will be possible to connect to the Internet fast and without the need for cables. Thanks to the implementation of WiNET, a wireless telecommunication network, broadband access will be brought to all the province of Trento, including the rural areas of Trentino region which are still not covered by DSL services, thus filling the digital divide gap which characterizes still many areas of the Italian territory.
